The short version
Peeka is a place to log what you spend. You type it, say it, paste it or scan it. We keep that record so you can see where your money goes, and we use it to run the app. That is all we use it for.
What Peeka keeps
What Peeka does not collect
Your bank login, your contacts, your precise location, or advertising identifiers. Peeka reads no other app unless you turn on Bank messages: then it reads the bank alerts you choose, on your phone.
Where it is stored
On your phone, and in your Peeka account so it can sync between devices. Your account is hosted by Supabase, our database provider. Records are sent over an encrypted connection.
How messages and receipts are read
Receipts, and most typed or pasted messages, are read on your phone. Ask Peeka answers on your phone first. On Peeka Plus, and only after you turn it on, a question it cannot answer goes to OpenAI with the few figures needed for the reply, never your records. You can turn it off in Settings.
Who can see it
Only you, unless you choose otherwise. On Couple, your partner sees only the items you share, one at a time. Friends see that you logged and your streak, never amounts or where you spent.
